Water Powered Clock

Water Powered Clock The water clock will display the time and date in clear easy to read numbers just moments after you fill the liquid reservoirs in the back with the liquid of your choice. We’ve had ours running for weeks so far and the water levels have barely descended and we haven’t had to refill it at all.

How does it work? Magic mostly. And a little bit of science too. The internal converter simply extracts electrons from water (or other liquid) molecules and provides a steady stream of electrical current acting as a fuel cell to generate power to the clock.

That is totally impossible. Water is in a very stable chemical state. You would need something quite reactive to remove electrons from it, and quite dangerous. Plus the fact that you can’t possibly build up a charge in the water simply by “extracting” electrons. They won’t move from a neutral charge to a neutral charge. Then you would need a ground (or some other electron acceptor), and I don’t see any wires. Anything that could produce energy from water would be expensive and be used up quickly, as well as not being a viable source of electricity. I suppose some sort of catalyst could be involved, but we would know about it if it can produce energy as efficiently as this.

I bet there is simply a battery with a sensor in the water to turn it on so you believe the water is doing it.
