Receives One of PC Magazine’s Highest Wireless LAN Ratings, Calls Ruckus Patented BeamFlex Smart Antenna Technology ‘A Marvel of Engineering’
Ruckus Wireless(TM) today announced that its ZoneFlex(TM) 802.11n Smart Wireless LAN system received one of the highest industry distinctions being named “Editor’s Choice” by PCMag.com, one of the world’s foremost online computer technology publications.
The distinction, granted after an extensive product review, was conducted at PC Magazine’s renowned computer networking laboratories in New York City. The product review examined the Ruckus ZoneDirector 1000 series of Smart WLAN controllers and the ZoneFlex 7942 Smart WLAN 802.11n access points. The PCMag.com review critiqued the Smart Wireless LAN system in a number of areas including setup and performance, price and adaptability.
After a battery of tests, PCMag.com reviewers found Ruckus’s technology “resilient to changes in indoor environments and a great way for businesses to set up a robust network with minimum of fuss (and cabling).”
In performance testing, PCMag.com saw 802.11n throughput speeds for 158 Mbps and 141 Mbps at distances of 20 feet and 50 feet respectively.
